No. Let guests choose whether to wave, join a group activity, or simply watch.
Keep the photo area uncluttered and allow the birthday child to stand beside a trusted adult.
Share the requested character theme, date, ZIP code, age range and preferred timing. A request is not a reservation; confirm program details, cost and availability.
A relaxed Burkmere celebration can give the birthday child time to warm up before guests gather around. Arrange a brief hello with room to wave from a caregiver's side, then offer a photo when the child is ready. Guests can take part in a simple, optional group moment rather than being called forward one by one. These are planning suggestions; confirm any program activities with us. Share your date, ZIP code and timing preferences as a request, and ask our team to confirm the requested theme, details, cost and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
