Yes, plan participation as an invitation. A child may wave, watch beside a caregiver or join the group when ready; check with our team about program options.
Take a quick group photo first, then leave room for optional individual pictures. Ask a caregiver to help children wait nearby without crowding the greeting area.
Not by itself. Confirm the correct process with the park, and separately ask our team about the character request, program, cost and availability.
For a Cal Nev Ari gathering, decide where the character can greet the child without competing with party noise. A small welcome, a wave and a shared photo give children choices before any group activity begins. Prepare a clear arrival point and let our team know the child's interests, guest ages and whether a quieter introduction would help. Ask us about possible program ideas, cost and availability before setting expectations; an inquiry does not reserve a visit.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Nevada State Parks publishes a reservation process for designated group-use areas and separate guidance for special or commercial uses. Identify the exact group area and ask the park which process applies to your gathering and hired entertainer. Keep facility or permit payments separate from the character provider's quote; neither alone establishes full event approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
