Have the character greet the child from a little distance, then allow time to watch or approach with a trusted adult.
Invite guests to wait for a group photo or join one short song, leaving a clear space around the birthday child.
Check the setting's reservation and entertainment permission, then ask our team about program details, costs and availability.
For a Camden Point celebration, a reserved room can make a quiet greeting easier to manage, while a flexible outdoor plan may need a separate weather fallback. Start with the birthday child's comfort: a wave at the doorway can lead into a brief conversation, a posed photo or a group activity if they feel ready. Ask guests to join a simple song or cheer, without requiring everyone to perform. Confirm the room type and permission for a hired character before setting the schedule. Theme-provider program details, costs and availability need confirmation with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Missouri State Parks says enclosed shelters, venues and meeting rooms require advance reservations. Check the exact facility type and current booking conditions, since open picnic shelters can follow a different process. Confirm the gathering layout and permission for a hired character visit with the operator; this policy does not establish entertainer availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
