Offer a wave, a brief hello or time to watch from a trusted adult's side.
Invite optional photo turns or a group hello, and let children choose whether to join.
Ask the park about the applicable group-use and entertainment process, then confirm visit details with our team.
For a Cobre, Nevada celebration, keep the visit simple enough that the birthday child can settle in before the group gathers around. A wave or short greeting gives the child time to choose whether to approach. Set one photo area aside and let guests join by turns, or watch if they prefer. Before choosing an outdoor site, verify its group-use process and permission for hired entertainment. These statewide planning checks do not verify local facilities or policies; confirm visit details with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Nevada State Parks publishes a reservation process for designated group-use areas and separate guidance for special or commercial uses. Identify the exact group area and ask the park which process applies to your gathering and hired entertainer. Keep facility or permit payments separate from the character provider's quote; neither alone establishes full event approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
