Offer a wave, a photo with a trusted adult or the option to watch. Do not make touching or speaking a condition of joining.
Share the confirmed space, arrival route and a point of contact. Let guests know where the greeting and photo area will be.
The supplied facts do not establish that. Check with the operator, and ask us to confirm theme-provider program details and availability.
A Courtenay gathering benefits from knowing exactly which rented space will host the group before shaping the character visit. Plan a simple welcome, give families a chance for photos, then offer one easy activity with no pressure to participate. Keep a clear path between the entrance and the meeting area, and identify an adult who can help late arrivals. The supplied North Dakota information is statewide guidance, not proof of a Courtenay venue or policy. Confirm space details with its operator and ask us about the requested theme and program.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
North Dakota Parks and Recreation lists two rentable picnic shelters at Grahams Island State Park alongside a separate activity center. Use this as one state-managed facility example, not a venue recommendation: confirm which space, facilities and access conditions apply to your plan. Ask the operator about hired entertainment before arranging the visit.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
