Offer a choice to wave, watch, or join a photo or activity. Keep a familiar adult nearby for the child who is celebrating.
Ask whether the exact space can be reserved for your activity, and check access, setup, and permission for hired entertainment.
Program ideas, cost, and availability must be confirmed with our team. A date request is not a reservation.
Let the birthday child set the pace for a character visit in Dixie, West Virginia. A calm hello, a wave, or a photo with a trusted adult can begin the celebration; other guests can join when ready. Before settling on a gathering space, identify who operates it and whether it suits the planned activity. Available advice is statewide, not confirmation of Dixie facilities or local policies. Keep the program outline manageable, then ask us about ideas and confirm the requested theme, cost, and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
West Virginia DNR describes lodging options within its state parks and forests and links to the official park directory. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask whether there is a reservable gathering space suitable for your proposed activity. Confirm access and hired entertainment rules; a lodging listing does not establish group-event eligibility or approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
