No. It is an example for Edison municipal facilities only. Check directly with the operator of any proposed Dorothy venue.
Offer watching, waving or a photo from a distance. Let each child decide whether to come closer.
Ask us and the theme provider to confirm the requested character, program, timing, availability and cost.
In Dorothy, start by choosing a comfortable gathering point and a greeting that lets children watch before deciding to approach. A planned photo moment can follow for guests who want one, with a simple group activity as an optional next step. Check the actual venue's rules rather than assuming another city's facility information applies. Ask us about the requested character and visit timing; activities, costs and availability need confirmation with the theme provider. Statewide planning checks are suggestions, not verified Dorothy venues or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within New Jersey, Edison municipal parks provide the published park amenities directory. Edison publishes a park amenities directory with pavilion, picnic grove and playground fields. Use the directory to check facilities for your group, then ask the responsible venue about reservations and paid entertainment; an amenity listing does not reserve it. This example applies only to Edison's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
