Begin with a wave or group hello. Children can stay with their grown-up until they feel ready to approach.
Offer a shared activity for willing participants and let others watch. Keep photos optional and allow time between turns.
No. A date or ZIP request is not a reservation or payment. Confirm the program, costs and availability with our team.
For an Ehrhardt gathering, plan around a simple rhythm: welcome the character, leave room for children to warm up, then offer a shared activity and photos. The organizer can help by telling guests when the visit begins and identifying a comfortable spot where children can watch before joining. Check venue details directly instead of treating a directory result as permission to host a party. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Ehrhardt venues or policies. Ask us about program ideas; confirm details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
South Carolina State Parks provides an interactive map and filters for its park directory. Use the actual facility listings to check the space, seating, access and amenities required for your gathering. Ask the specific operator about reservations and hired entertainment; a map result is not a venue recommendation or approval for a party.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
