In Fort Stanton, plan the character visit around a calm welcome and a clear weather backup. Start with a short greeting for the child of honor, then offer a choice: wave from beside a trusted adult or join the character for a photo. Guests can take turns with a simple group wave or a favorite-song singalong if the entertainer confirms it. Keep the visit area easy to find and leave room for children who prefer to watch first. Ask us about program details, cost and availability; confirm the visit and venue permission before making plans around them.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New Mexico State Parks directs visitors to specific park pages for group shelter reservations. Review the chosen facility's current conditions, operating information and alerts rather than applying one set of amenities to every park. Ask the operator about your gathering and hired entertainment before committing to the location.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
