Offer a wave or a quiet hello while the child stays near a trusted adult. Let them choose whether to approach.
Invite guests to join a group greeting or optional photo, while making room for those who prefer to watch.
Choose a weather monitor and indoor route, and confirm venue rules with the operator. Ask our team about program details, costs and availability.
A Frankenmuth celebration can keep its character moment simple: let the birthday child choose a wave, a hello beside a parent or a photo after watching for a while. Give guests a separate invitation to join, so the child does not have to lead the whole group. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Frankenmuth venues or policies. Ask us about your character idea, and confirm the program, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
