In Goffstown, help guests know what to expect without turning the character visit into a rigid program. A warm greeting can come first, followed by optional photos and a simple activity for children who want to join. If considering a state-managed park, check access and parking separately from permission to hold a group gathering. Have an adult ready to guide guests and handle a weather change. Ask us about program ideas, costs and availability, then confirm the specifics.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New Hampshire State Parks warns that visitors without reservations may be turned away when Monadnock State Park is full. If considering this state-managed property, check its current day-use parking process and access conditions. A parking reservation is not a group shelter booking or permission for hired entertainment, and this example does not describe every park in the state.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
