Let the birthday child meet the character with a wave or a quiet hello before inviting the rest of the group.
Choose one spot and have an adult call children in small turns. Keep the moment brief and allow children to opt out.
Share the party location, preferred timing and any access needs with our team. Confirm program details, costs and availability; a request is not a reservation.
For a party in Grahn, keep the character visit easy to follow: a personal hello for the birthday child, a short shared moment and optional guest photos. Children can join in or stay close to a parent and watch. If your plans include an overnight stay, Kentucky State Parks' FAQ can help with lodging and campsite questions, but it does not confirm a party space or entertainment approval. Check those details with the actual operator. For any outdoor gathering, set an accessible indoor backup in advance. Ask our team to confirm the character program, costs and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Kentucky State Parks' FAQ describes reservations for lodge rooms, cottages and campsites. If the plan includes an overnight stay, check the current booking and cancellation conditions for that accommodation. Contact the actual park about separate gathering space and hired entertainment; an overnight reservation does not establish birthday eligibility or event permission.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
