Offer a wave or a moment to watch from near a caregiver. Let the child choose whether to approach.
Offer a group photo as an option, not a requirement. Children can watch or take a turn later.
Not necessarily. Ask the operator which rules apply to hired entertainment, and confirm the provider's program separately.
In Grass Valley, Nevada, make the space and permissions part of the party plan before setting the character's arrival time. A relaxed visit can begin with a wave, then offer a shared greeting or photo for children who choose to join. Ask us about the character theme and confirm the specific program, costs, and availability with the theme provider. Give the organizer one clear role for greeting guests and another adult responsibility for keeping the child's preferred pace. State guidance can inform checks, but no city facilities or local policies are verified here.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Nevada State Parks publishes a reservation process for designated group-use areas and separate guidance for special or commercial uses. Identify the exact group area and ask the park which process applies to your gathering and hired entertainer. Keep facility or permit payments separate from the character provider's quote; neither alone establishes full event approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
