Let the child choose a greeting, such as a wave or a brief hello with a parent nearby. Watching first is fine too.
Offer one simple, optional group moment after photos, such as a wave or easy dance. Tell the team about the group and space when asking about the program.
No. Ask us to confirm availability, theme-provider program details and costs. Confirm property permission separately; a request is not a reservation or payment.
A relaxed Hampden character visit can begin with a wave from the birthday child's chosen spot, followed by a brief photo moment and an optional activity for guests. If the gathering is outdoors, decide where everyone can move if weather changes before choosing the visit location. These are parent planning suggestions, not promised program features. Ask us to confirm the requested character theme, program details, cost and availability. State guidance is available, but the supplied facts do not verify Hampden venues or city facility policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
West Virginia DNR describes lodging options within its state parks and forests and links to the official park directory. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask whether there is a reservable gathering space suitable for your proposed activity. Confirm access and hired entertainment rules; a lodging listing does not establish group-event eligibility or approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
