Offer a wave or a place beside a trusted adult before inviting a closer greeting. Watching quietly is participation too.
Choose a simple, uncluttered spot and decide whether children will take turns or join one group picture. Keep the birthday child's preferred moment first.
No. A date or ZIP code request is not a reservation or payment. Ask us to confirm theme, program details, costs, and availability.
In Herington, plan the character visit around one calm moment your child can anticipate: a wave, a familiar song, or a photo with a favorite character. Tell guests whether the greeting is optional, and let children watch first if they prefer. Keep the visit program simple, with time for the birthday child to have a special moment before inviting friends to join. Share the requested character theme, party location, guest ages, and any timing needs with our team. Program details, costs, and availability must be confirmed; city facilities and policies have not been verified.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
