In Hunter, Kansas, a thoughtful weather plan can help keep the character visit calm if an outdoor celebration needs to move. Choose an adult to monitor conditions and decide when to relocate, then give the birthday child a simple greeting choice: wave first or take a photo. Guests can join a short activity or observe. Confirm the visit plan, timing and costs with our team; a date or ZIP code request is not a booking.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
