That is a fine way to participate. Offer a comfortable place beside a caregiver and let the child approach if and when they choose.
Set the greeting area, decide who will help with photos and explain the schedule and weather backup to guests.
Not necessarily. Confirm group-use conditions and entertainment permission with the facility operator, and check visit details with our team.
In Huntington, Oregon, make the party plan flexible before building the character visit into the schedule. A short greeting, a chance to watch and an optional photo can help children join at their own pace. Ask us about the costume theme you are considering, and confirm program details, cost and availability with our team. Oregon's state reservation guidance concerns specific reservable group day-use facilities; it does not establish a Huntington venue or permission for a character visit.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Oregon State Parks accepts reservations at parks with reservable group day-use facilities as well as many campgrounds. Check the specific facility and booking conditions rather than treating all parks or campsite reservations as group-event bookings. Ask the operator about hired entertainment and any additional permission before setting the party plan.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
