Let the child watch first, then choose between a wave, a photo or a brief hello. No child needs to participate on cue.
Choose a clear greeting spot, tell guests when photos may happen and identify an adult who can help the child step away if needed.
No. A ZIP code and preferred date are a request only. Ask us to confirm availability, program details and costs.
In Jacksonburg, West Virginia, plan the character visit around a calm welcome rather than a packed schedule. After the birthday child has time to watch from beside a trusted adult, the character can offer a wave, a short greeting and a photo if the child wants one. Invite guests to join a simple group pose or take turns saying hello, with watching as an equally welcome choice. Before requesting a date, share the ZIP code and preferred time with our team; that is an inquiry, not a reservation. Confirm program details, costs and availability directly.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
West Virginia DNR describes lodging options within its state parks and forests and links to the official park directory. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask whether there is a reservable gathering space suitable for your proposed activity. Confirm access and hired entertainment rules; a lodging listing does not establish group-event eligibility or approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
