Offer a wave or a quiet hello first, and let the child choose whether to move closer or pose for a photo.
Invite them to take turns with a brief greeting or group photo. A trusted adult can help younger children wait comfortably.
No. Ask the property about gathering space and permission separately, then confirm character details, cost and availability with us.
For a Jeriel gathering, plan a small first moment for the birthday child before opening the visit to everyone else. A hello from a comfortable distance can lead to a photo or a group wave, with no need to rush. If guests are young, have an adult guide turns and keep a clear path through the space. City facilities and event policies are unverified. Ask us to confirm theme-provider program ideas, costs and availability, and check any venue permission separately.

Kentucky State Parks' FAQ describes reservations for lodge rooms, cottages and campsites. If the plan includes an overnight stay, check the current booking and cancellation conditions for that accommodation. Contact the actual park about separate gathering space and hired entertainment; an overnight reservation does not establish birthday eligibility or event permission.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
