Start with a wave from the group, then invite the birthday child to choose a closer hello or a photo. There is no need to force a turn.
Choose a clear gathering spot, share arrival instructions and plan where the birthday child can take a quiet break.
No. Theme-provider activities, cost and availability need confirmation with our team. A request for a date does not secure a visit.
For a June Lake birthday, make the character visit a simple focal point rather than a packed schedule. Gather children in a comfortable spot, introduce the character, and let each child choose whether to greet them, take a photo or watch nearby. If the party involves an overnight stay, keep lodging arrangements separate from the daytime celebration. Prepare a small waiting area for children who need a pause. Ask us about the requested costume theme and possible visit ideas; confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
California State Parks' reservation policies on this page cover overnight accommodations, including camping and lodging. If your plan includes an overnight stay, check the accommodation-specific booking and cancellation conditions. A camping reservation does not establish permission for a daytime birthday gathering or hired entertainer; confirm those separately with the relevant operator.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
