Yes. Offer choices such as waving, watching, or standing with a trusted adult for a photo. Let the child decide what feels comfortable.
Pick a greeting spot, tell the character host what the birthday child enjoys, and ask one adult to guide the guest turns.
No. A date request is not a confirmed reservation or payment. Ask our team to confirm availability, cost, and program details.
A relaxed Kalber celebration can give the birthday child time to get used to the character before the group joins in. Begin with a hello from a little distance, then let the child choose a wave, short conversation, or shared photo. Keep the planned activity brief and give guests a clear way to take turns. Before the visit, tell the character host about any child who may prefer to watch. Ask us about the theme you want, and confirm program details, cost, and availability before promising a particular activity to guests.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Washington State Parks identifies reservation types that require its call center. Check the actual facility type and booking channel before trying to secure a picnic shelter or group space online. Verify access, setup and permission for hired entertainment separately with the operator; a reservation route is not event approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
