For a Kidder, Missouri, party, plan the character's arrival as a small, predictable moment rather than a surprise the child must handle. Let the birthday child know where the greeting will happen, and offer a choice between a wave and a closer hello. Keep a parent nearby for photos, then invite other children to join at their own pace. Ask us to confirm the requested character's program, cost and availability before setting the schedule.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Missouri State Parks says enclosed shelters, venues and meeting rooms require advance reservations. Check the exact facility type and current booking conditions, since open picnic shelters can follow a different process. Confirm the gathering layout and permission for a hired character visit with the operator; this policy does not establish entertainer availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
