Let the child watch from a trusted adult's side, then choose whether to wave, pose nearby or greet the character directly.
Share the child's name and interests, the schedule, guest count, space limits and any participation preferences with our team.
No. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, program details, cost and availability before planning around the visit.
In Logsden, make the visit feel easy to join by giving the character a calm entrance and one clear first activity. A child can wave from beside a parent, offer a high-five, or watch before joining. After a short greeting, leave time for a birthday photo and invite guests to take turns with a simple pose or question. Tell us the preferred character theme, the child's comfort level, guest count and proposed date. Ask us to confirm program details, cost and availability; a date or ZIP request is not a reservation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Oregon State Parks accepts reservations at parks with reservable group day-use facilities as well as many campgrounds. Check the specific facility and booking conditions rather than treating all parks or campsite reservations as group-event bookings. Ask the operator about hired entertainment and any additional permission before setting the party plan.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
