Let the birthday child watch first or wave from beside a familiar adult. Offer a closer greeting only if the child seems ready.
Choose a clear photo spot and ask one adult to guide small groups forward. Keep participation optional so children can watch instead.
Confirm the indoor backup and venue permission directly. Ask us about the requested character theme, program, cost, and availability; a request is not a booking.
In Macedonia, Mississippi, a thoughtful visit leaves room for a quiet greeting and a change of plan if outdoor conditions shift. The birthday child can wave from a parent's side, then decide whether to join a photo or activity. Before the party, name one adult to monitor weather and guide the group to an indoor backup. These are statewide planning checks, not verified city venues or policies. Ask us about the character theme and visit program, and confirm details, cost, and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue.
