Include the ZIP code, requested date, child's age, guest count, setting, and desired visit length. Ask us to confirm program details, costs, and availability.
Let the birthday child watch first, wave from a comfortable distance, or greet alongside a trusted adult. Do not make a hug or photo a requirement.
Offer guests a brief turn to say hello or a shared photo after the birthday child's moment. Have an organizer guide the group and keep space around the child.
A character visit in Magalia can stay calm and personal when the birthday child gets the first choice: a wave, a photo with a parent, or time to watch. Keep the greeting short, then invite guests to join a simple group picture or take turns saying hello. If plans include an overnight stay, check the accommodation-specific terms separately from daytime party permissions. Before contacting us, note the ZIP code, date, and preferred visit length. Program details, costs, and availability need confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
California State Parks' reservation policies on this page cover overnight accommodations, including camping and lodging. If your plan includes an overnight stay, check the accommodation-specific booking and cancellation conditions. A camping reservation does not establish permission for a daytime birthday gathering or hired entertainer; confirm those separately with the relevant operator.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
