In Mardela Springs, Maryland, keep the character visit easy to follow: one personal greeting for the birthday child, followed by an optional group moment. Offer a wave or photo with a familiar adult nearby, and let guests join only if they feel comfortable. Choose a gathering space based on its actual layout and setup rules, not assumptions about another town's facilities. Ask us about the requested character theme; confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within Maryland, Baltimore city recreation centers provide room rental information. Baltimore directs families to their recreation center for room rental information. Check the actual room capacity, permitted entertainment and setup time rather than assuming any recreation center can host the same program. This example applies only to Baltimore's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup.
