Pick one photo spot and ask guests to wait for their turn rather than gathering around the child.
No. Ask us to confirm availability, program details and cost before treating the visit as arranged.
For a Middlefield celebration, prepare the adults as well as the birthday child: decide who will welcome the character and who will keep the visit on an easy pace. Begin with a friendly greeting, then offer the child a choice between watching, waving or joining a photo. Guests can take turns with brief hellos. Massachusetts-specific city venue policies are not verified here, so treat the weather guidance as statewide planning checks, not local rules. Confirm program details, costs and availability with us.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
