In Millville, West Virginia, make the child's first moment with a character calm and easy to join. Set a clear meeting spot, then let each child choose a wave, a high-five, or simply watching from beside a trusted adult. A short visit can leave room for a group photo and a few turns to share a favorite story or pose. Before inviting guests, ask us about the requested character and confirm program details, costs, and availability. Keep the plan flexible so shy children can participate at their own pace.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
West Virginia DNR describes lodging options within its state parks and forests and links to the official park directory. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask whether there is a reservable gathering space suitable for your proposed activity. Confirm access and hired entertainment rules; a lodging listing does not establish group-event eligibility or approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
