A relaxed Mindoro character visit can start with the birthday child choosing where to meet the guest and whether to wave, chat, or watch first. Once the child is settled, offer a group photo or a simple guest-participation moment, with no pressure to join. Prepare a clear arrival point and a small area for photos so the visit feels organized. The statewide information below is not confirmation of a Mindoro venue or its rules; check details with the actual operator.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Wisconsin DNR describes the reservable picnic shelter at its MacKenzie Center and its booking route through the State Parks reservation system. Treat this as one state-managed facility example: check the actual shelter, nearby facilities and conditions with the operator. Confirm permission for a hired character visit; the listing does not establish rules for every Wisconsin park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
