Offer the birthday child a choice: wave, say hello or watch with a caregiver. Let the character greeting stay brief if the child prefers, without asking them to pose or perform.
Pick a clear spot near the gathering area and invite guests in small groups. Keep the birthday child's photo optional, and ask one adult to help organize the line.
A date request alone does not secure a pavilion or character visit. Check the venue's confirmation process, then ask our team to confirm the requested theme, program details, costs and availability separately.
In New Baltimore, Pennsylvania, keep the celebration plan flexible until both the gathering place and character visit are confirmed. A gentle visit can begin with the birthday child choosing to wave, talk briefly or watch from nearby, followed by a photo option for guests who want to join. If you are considering a state park pavilion, verify its reservation status and rules with the operator. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, program ideas, costs and availability before setting the schedule.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Pennsylvania DCNR publishes payment conditions for confirmed state park picnic pavilion reservations. Check the current confirmation and cancellation process before treating a requested date as secured. Confirm the exact pavilion, access and permission for hired entertainment with its operator; the pavilion payment and the entertainer's quote are separate arrangements.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
