Offer a wave from a little distance and let the child choose whether to come closer. A familiar adult can stay nearby.
Choose a simple photo spot and have a camera ready before the character arrives. Make group pictures optional.
Ask our team about the requested character theme, program ideas, timing, costs and availability. A date or ZIP request is not a reservation or payment.
In New Haven, Wyoming, plan the character visit around a calm arrival and a clear place for children to gather. A simple sequence works well: welcome the character, offer a wave or high-five, then invite children to join a short game or group photo. Let shy guests watch from beside a familiar adult, with no pressure to pose or participate. Before choosing an outdoor setting, confirm that the actual space suits a gathering; state guidance does not verify city facilities.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Wyoming State Parks describes outdoor recreation at its state-managed properties and provides a park directory. Check the actual park's gathering facilities, routes and access rather than assuming a recreational trail is a suitable event space. Ask the operator about group-space reservations and hired entertainment; recreation information is not a venue recommendation or approval for your party.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
