Let the character greet the group before approaching the child. The child can choose a wave, a photo or time to watch from beside a trusted adult.
Use one simple group prompt, then offer optional photo turns. Let children pass or participate from their seats if that suits them better.
Share the requested character theme, date and ZIP code. This starts an inquiry only; our team must confirm details, costs and availability.
For Northborough, Massachusetts, start with the child's comfort rather than a packed schedule. A character can begin with a friendly wave, then the guest of honor can decide whether to say hello, pose for a picture or watch the group activity. Prepare one easy way for guests to join, such as answering a question together. Outdoor plans need a clear weather decision-maker and indoor destination. Ask our team about your requested theme, date and ZIP code; all program details, costs and availability need confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
