Start with a wave or hello from a comfortable distance. Children can join later, watch or skip the greeting.
Share the guest of honor's name, the visit location within the gathering space and any preferences about photos or group participation.
No. Ask us to confirm what a visit may include, along with availability and costs, before making plans around it.
A relaxed Oxberry celebration can give children several ways to take part: a greeting, a wave or a comfortable spot beside their grown-up. Let the guest of honor have the first photo opportunity, then invite other children to join if they wish. Keep the visit in a defined part of the party so the organizer can guide the group and watch the clock. For an outdoor gathering, plan who will monitor weather and how everyone will move indoors if needed.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
