In Oxford, Maryland, the most useful venue question is a direct one: does the exact room allow hired entertainment, and what setup time is available? Do not assume another Maryland city's facility information applies here. Once the space is settled, keep the visit child-centered: offer a wave or brief greeting, make photos optional and let guests join a simple activity at their own pace. Ask us to confirm the requested character's program details, cost and availability.

As a city-scoped example within Maryland, Baltimore city recreation centers provide room rental information. Baltimore directs families to their recreation center for room rental information. Check the actual room capacity, permitted entertainment and setup time rather than assuming any recreation center can host the same program. This example applies only to Baltimore's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
