In Portis, Kansas, build the character visit around a short, clear sequence so children know what to expect. The birthday child might greet the character first, choose a photo, then invite guests to a simple activity. Keep an alternate place for watching nearby, and let participation stay voluntary. Before the party, share the ages, guest count, and setup with our team. Confirm the requested program, cost, and availability with us; a date inquiry alone does not hold a visit.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
