Start with a calm hello and give children time to decide whether to approach, wave, or stay with an adult.
Choose a simple, uncluttered spot and let the character team know who will help gather guests. Keep individual photos optional.
That depends on confirmed arrangements. Ask us about possible program details, costs, timing, and availability for the requested theme.
A clear plan for the gathering can make a Rudyard, Montana, character visit feel welcoming without crowding children. Decide where the greeting will happen, leave space for guests who prefer to watch, and offer a group photo as an option rather than a requirement. If a state-managed property is under consideration, identify the exact site and ask its operator about facilities and approval. Ask us about the character visit; costs, program details, and availability must be confirmed.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks provides a state park map and links to reservations. Use the directory to identify the responsible operator and actual facilities before making a party plan. Ask about group-space reservations, access and hired entertainment for the specific property; the statewide directory does not show approval or availability for your event.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
