Invite guests in small turns for a greeting or photo, while leaving space for children who would rather observe.
Ask whether the exact space allows your gathering, what setup is possible, and whether hired entertainment needs permission.
No. A date request is not a reservation or payment. Confirm visit details and availability with our team.
A Seaside gathering can feel easier when the character's arrival has a simple rhythm: welcome the birthday child, pause for a photo if they want one, then invite guests to participate one at a time. Children who prefer to watch can stay alongside a parent without being singled out. Ask us to discuss a manageable visit plan, and confirm program details, cost, and availability with our team. The supplied information offers statewide Oregon guidance, not verified Seaside venues or local policies, so check the exact location before setting the plan.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Oregon State Parks accepts reservations at parks with reservable group day-use facilities as well as many campgrounds. Check the specific facility and booking conditions rather than treating all parks or campsite reservations as group-event bookings. Ask the operator about hired entertainment and any additional permission before setting the party plan.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
