Offer a wave or a chance to watch first. Let the child choose whether to approach.
Invite guests to join a brief group hello, while keeping individual interaction optional.
Ask us about the character theme, then confirm visit activities, costs and availability with our team.
For a Sheldon Junction celebration, make the character's arrival easy to understand and easy to decline. A wave from across the room or gathering space can be the first step; a close greeting and photo can come later if the child wants. Give guests one optional way to participate, such as joining a short group hello. Vermont's state guidance is limited to specific remote camping sites, not birthday venues. Ask us about the requested character theme, and confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Vermont's Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation publishes site-specific occupancy information for its remote camping sites. If a plan involves one of these state-managed remote sites, check capacity, access, sanitation and drinking-water arrangements before proceeding. This camping guidance is not a birthday venue recommendation or permission for hired entertainment, and it does not describe every Vermont park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
