Offer two simple choices, such as watching or waving, and make photos optional. A child can join later after seeing others take part.
Check that the space fits your gathering, and confirm reservation conditions, access and hired-entertainment permission directly with its operator.
No. A request is not a reservation or payment. Confirm availability, cost and program details with our team.
Snelling party planning starts with the needs of your particular group: enough room for a gentle greeting, a place to gather for photos and a way for guests to participate without pressure. Let the birthday child choose whether to wave or join in. Ask us about the character theme, then confirm program details, timing, cost and availability with our team. Statewide park resources do not verify a Snelling venue or its party policies, so check the specific operator.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
South Carolina State Parks provides an interactive map and filters for its park directory. Use the actual facility listings to check the space, seating, access and amenities required for your gathering. Ask the specific operator about reservations and hired entertainment; a map result is not a venue recommendation or approval for a party.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
