No. Invite children to choose a greeting, a photo or watching from nearby. A parent can help a hesitant child decide.
Pick one spot in advance and let the birthday child go first. Avoid crowding the character with too many guests at once.
Not by itself. Check permissions with the facility operator and confirm visit details with our team.
In South Elma, keep the character moment simple enough for the birthday child to take in at their own pace. A familiar adult can stand nearby while the character says hello; guests can then choose a quick picture or watch from the side. Set a clear meeting place and let the organizer know who will help guide children. Ask us about the requested character and confirm the visit program, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Washington State Parks identifies reservation types that require its call center. Check the actual facility type and booking channel before trying to secure a picnic shelter or group space online. Verify access, setup and permission for hired entertainment separately with the operator; a reservation route is not event approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
