In South Strafford, a character visit can work best as one brief highlight within a relaxed party plan. Let the birthday child choose between a wave, a greeting, or a photo, then invite other children to take turns joining in. Keep a familiar adult nearby and make watching an acceptable choice for guests who need time to warm up. Before the visit, set a simple start time and tell us where the character should arrive. Share the group size and participation preferences, then confirm program details, costs, and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Vermont's Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation publishes site-specific occupancy information for its remote camping sites. If a plan involves one of these state-managed remote sites, check capacity, access, sanitation and drinking-water arrangements before proceeding. This camping guidance is not a birthday venue recommendation or permission for hired entertainment, and it does not describe every Vermont park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
