Do not assume so. Check the accommodation terms, then ask the operator about separate gathering space and permission for hired entertainment.
Offer a wave, a brief hello or a chance to watch first. Keep photos optional and let a trusted adult stay close if that helps the child.
Prepare the date, location, requested character theme, child's age, guest count and schedule. Ask our team to confirm the possible program, cost and availability.
In Stambaugh, keep the character visit distinct from any overnight arrangements: plan the gathering itself, then verify the space and permissions that apply to it. For the child's special moment, offer a friendly hello, a choice of wave or closer greeting, and a few photos with family. Guests can join a group moment or watch quietly. Send our team the requested character theme, date, location, child's age and party outline. Ask about program details, cost and availability; lodging or campsite plans do not confirm event approval or a booking.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Kentucky State Parks' FAQ describes reservations for lodge rooms, cottages and campsites. If the plan includes an overnight stay, check the current booking and cancellation conditions for that accommodation. Contact the actual park about separate gathering space and hired entertainment; an overnight reservation does not establish birthday eligibility or event permission.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
