Keep the greeting spot easy to leave and let the child choose whether to come closer. Guests can wave from their seats or join a group photo when invited.
Watch conditions and make the move decision using the plan agreed before the party. The organizer should know the indoor destination and route.
No. A date or ZIP code request is not a reservation or payment. Ask our team to confirm availability, program details and cost.
For Stambaugh, Michigan, make the outdoor-to-indoor decision part of the schedule before planning the character's entrance. Once the gathering space is settled, keep the visit simple: a warm greeting for the birthday child, a choice to wave or approach, then optional photos and a group activity. Guests can participate without forming a close crowd. Tell our team the requested theme, date, location, child's age and indoor or outdoor setup. Ask us to confirm program details, cost and availability; these remain unconfirmed until discussed.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
