For a party in Star City, West Virginia, think first about where the children can gather comfortably and how they will move between activities. Give the birthday child a small choice for the greeting, then let guests participate in their own way. A photo with a trusted adult nearby can be a comfortable first step. State park information does not confirm a local event space or permission for entertainment. Share your plan with our team and confirm program details, cost, and availability before counting on a visit.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
West Virginia DNR describes lodging options within its state parks and forests and links to the official park directory. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask whether there is a reservable gathering space suitable for your proposed activity. Confirm access and hired entertainment rules; a lodging listing does not establish group-event eligibility or approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
