Let the child watch from a trusted adult's side, wave or join later. Keep the greeting brief and do not require a hug or photo.
Choose a clear greeting spot, share the schedule with the character team and ask guests to leave room for children who prefer to observe.
No. Ask us about the requested theme, program, costs and availability; confirm any venue permission separately.
In Tabor, make the character visit one calm part of the celebration rather than the whole agenda. Ask us about a simple greeting, a few posed photos and an optional group activity, such as a wave-along or birthday song. Children can join, watch from beside a parent or take a little time before saying hello. Before choosing a park setting, confirm the exact facility, its booking process and whether the planned visit is allowed. These are statewide planning checks, not verified Tabor venues or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Texas Parks and Wildlife directs visitors to reserve group facilities by phone rather than assuming every booking can be completed online. Check the current process for the exact group facility and describe the gathering and hired entertainment to the park. A phone reservation route does not establish that the proposed party activity is eligible or available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
