Let them watch first, then choose a wave or photo if they feel ready. No child needs to be singled out.
Set a clear greeting spot, check the guest flow and tell the character team about timing and any participation preferences.
No. A requested date is not a reservation or payment. Ask us about the character theme, then confirm details, costs and availability with our team.
For a Talleyville celebration, plan the character visit around one calm focal moment rather than a packed schedule. Children can choose a wave, a little conversation or a photo with their requested character theme; watching from beside a parent is fine, too. Keep the gathering spot easy to find and leave room for guests to join without forming a tight crowd. These are statewide planning checks, not verified Talleyville venues or policies. Ask us about the visit format, and confirm program details, costs and availability with our team before making plans.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Delaware DNREC identifies the Division of Parks and Recreation as the operator of state park properties and provides further park information. Use the exact property's operator to check group-space reservations, capacity and access, and describe any hired entertainer before booking. The division overview is not a venue recommendation or event approval and does not establish city park rules.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
