Keep the first greeting short and let the child choose whether to wave, speak, or take a photo. A trusted adult can stay close without prompting the child to participate.
Invite a few guests at a time to join a photo or offer a greeting. Make watching an equally welcome option.

In Texola, Oklahoma, start by matching the party plan to the kind of space you have actually reserved. Keep the character's greeting brief at first, with a wave and a choice of standing together for a photo or waiting nearby. Tell guests how the moment will work so the birthday child is not rushed. Ask us about program ideas, costs, and availability; verify details before setting expectations.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Oklahoma's official tourism agency describes several lodging and gathering-space options in state parks. Check whether the exact reservation covers overnight accommodation, a meeting area or another facility before planning the group layout. Confirm current access conditions and permission for hired entertainment with the operator; the guide is not approval or a guarantee of a birthday venue.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
