Let the child watch first or wave from beside a trusted adult. A close greeting is optional.
Choose one uncluttered spot and have an adult invite small groups in turn. Leave room for guests who prefer no photo.
Ask us about the requested theme, program details, costs and availability. A date request alone does not confirm a visit.
A comfortable Trumbull party can leave room for children to warm up at their own pace. Invite the character to begin with a wave, then let each guest choose a greeting, a photo or a chance to watch. Ask us about the requested theme and possible program ideas; confirm the details, costs and availability before building the schedule around them. Give the organizer a simple running order and name an adult to guide guests if plans change. For an outdoor gathering, prepare the indoor alternative before the party rather than deciding in the moment.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
