No. Make participation optional. Children can wave, stay near a caregiver, or join later if they feel comfortable.
After a gentle introduction can give children time to adjust. Keep the photo opportunity brief and allow anyone to sit it out.
Choose a clear greeting area and share the event date, location, age range, and requested theme with us. Confirm the program, costs, and availability.
In Urb Palma Royale, help the birthday child know what to expect before the character arrives. A short explanation and a familiar adult nearby can make the greeting feel manageable. Offer children a choice between waving, joining a group activity, or watching from the side. Save photos for after the first hello, when guests have had time to settle. Share your preferred pace with us when asking about a character theme; program details, costs, and availability are subject to confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
