Have the character greet the group from a clear, comfortable spot. Let the birthday child approach when ready, with a parent close by.
Pick one photo area and invite children in small turns. Offer a simple shared activity for others, with watching or taking a break as acceptable choices.
Share the venue contact, guest count, hired-entertainment details and arrival plan. Confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
For a Van Nuys birthday, identify who manages the chosen space before you set the schedule. A county-managed park, a City of Los Angeles facility and a private venue may follow different processes. Once the location is confirmed, give the character a clear arrival point and let the birthday child choose a wave, a photo, or a little time to watch. Keep guest participation brief and easy to opt into. Share the group size and hired-entertainment details with the venue contact, then ask us to confirm visit details, costs and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For a county-managed park in the Los Angeles area, confirm the booking process with Los Angeles County Parks. County rules do not automatically apply to City of Los Angeles recreation centers or private venues.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Los Angeles County explains that event type, attendance and other factors can affect a required security deposit. For a county facility, describe the hired entertainment and guest count; verify city-managed locations under their own rules.
